Opera House Zurich

The Zurich Opera House with its 1‘100 seats counts as the smallest of the big Opera Houses of the World. Here you will dive into a world full of emotions. In the beautiful ballroom you can regularly enjoy popular plays, famous singers as well as premieres, children’s operas and ballets.

You may experience stars such as Cecilia Bartoli, Anna Netrebko, René Pape, Matti Salminen as well as conductors like Marco Armiliato, Fabio Luisi and many more stars when the curtains open and the stage clears for magic.

Lake Zurich

In the summertime inline skaters, joggers, swim fanatics, jewellery vendors, musicians and street artists all come together for a rendezvous at the gorgeous lakefront promenade. The popular board walk along Lake Zurich will excite young and old. Various Restaurants with lake view will pamper guests with regional and seasonal delicacies and countless street cafes invite you into a cosy hangout spot.

Old town of Zurich

There are countless sights to marvel at in the former roman city. Here you will find architectural highlights, historical places, picturesque streets and neighbourhoods, churches, art sculptures and much more. You will get to know Zurich’s past and present based on it's historic and modern buildings, stories and anecdotes.

In the Bahnhofstrasse you will find everything your heart desires: fashion, art, gourmet foods and specialties from Zurich. Numerous boutiques, department stores and watch shops are lined up next to each other.

While you can stroll to the lake during summer, you can find a mulled wine stand in every corner with hot drinks and pastries during winter.

The Sechseläutenplatz between the Opera House and Bellevue skilfully combines tradition with the modern. The most popular festival spot directly on lake Zurich traditionally welcomes every Spring with the “Sechseläuten-Fest”, a ritual of the people of Zurich with a long historical background. During the hot summer months trees, seating spots, adjacent street cafes and water elements lend the place a unique charm with an international flair.
